Gingerbread Truffle Recipe

GINGERBREAD TRUFFLES

GINGERBRAD truffle BEST INGRI pic.jpgINGRIDENTS: 

  • ¼ cup unsalted Butter (Room Temperature)
  • ¼ Cup Molasses
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ Cup Flour
  • ½ Teaspoon All Spice
  • ¼ Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ Teaspoon Ginger
  • ¼ Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Tablespoon of Milk (if or as needed)
  • Cocoa Powder (if desired )
  • Melted Chocolate (If Desired)

METHOD:

  1. Beat Molasses, Sugar, and butter and mix in Vanilla until Fluffy  for roughly 2 to 3 minutes either by hand or with a Mixeginger-bread-truffle-dry-ingridents
  2. Sift together the Dry ingredients – Flour, All Spice, Cinnamon, Ginger & salt
  3. Combine the two together mixing them at a low speed
  4. If it’s Crumbly add 1 tablespoon of Milk to your mix until it comes togetherMix until it all comes together as a Dough mixginger-bread-truffle-mix
  5. Chill In the Fridge 30 Minutes
  6. Roll into Balls and chill in the freezer for 15 minutes
  7. GOOD for up to 5 days if Refrigerated
  8. Optional: leave plain, or roll the balls in Cocoa Powder or Melted Chocolate – if rolling in melted Chocolate I recommend another round of chilling

Blogmas Day 8 ~ December 8th Advent review

On  December 8th I opened my advent calendars. Including my Craft Crossing Calendar where I found a Fabulator brew from Central City Brewing in Surrey which is a part of their 12 classic BC beers being featured in the 2015 Craft Crossing calendar.

Blogmas Day Seven~December 7th

On Day 7 I received a brew from Parallel 49 Brewing company featuring Filthy Dirty – which is a new Beer exclusively introduced in the Craft Crossing Calendar.

Blogmas Day 3 – December 3rd

I spent most of December 3rd in bed. I had been in a lot of pain that day due to my Marfan Syndrome as it had been raining all day and that impacts how much pain I have from the hyper mobility of my joints [think opposite arthritis.]

It was also a day spent in Mourning. On May 3rd, 2014 I lost someone very dear to me unexpectedly when they died in a car crash when Alberta had a freak snowstorm. Ever since that fateful May the 3rd, it is like the third of every month is etched into my brain permanently and I associate the 3rd with my friend.

So I wore my lovely South hill locket which I won in a contest hosted by South Hill Designs Lockets & Charms by Kelli where we designed our dream locket – which mine was inspired by my friend!

I spent the day watching Netflix in bed, sleeping on and off and just zoning out.

Around 11 p.m I remembered I hadn’t done my calendars nor had I recorded anything for that day.

 

So I reluctantly got out of bed & headed upstairs to “begin” filming for the day. Lucky for me most YouTubers are a  day behind when it comes to vlogging. Since most people upload the footage from their day during the following day!

 

First of all I opened Day 3 of my Gabz Collection 24 day advent calendar http://gabzcollection.com/index.php? during which I got a little gold and rhinestone patterned charm for my yet to be found charm bracelet.

After that I opened day three of my Purdy’s 24 Day Chocolate advent calendar and found myself with yet another Purdy’s Caramel Chocolate.

 


I opened Day 3 of my Kinder Surprise 24 day chocolate Advent. Where I found a Schoko-Bon

Next I opened Day on my Lindt Chocolate 24 Day Golden Bear themed calendar. I was rewarded with a Lindt Double Milk mini ball. 


Next I opened up my 32 Day Frozen Chocolate advent calendar!

I got a chocolate of the man’s face. Think his name is Hans?

 

Next up I opened Day three of my Craft Crossing Calendar which features and highlights a collection of 12 fan favorite beers from Central City Brewing and a brand new 12 bottle collection from 49th parallel brewing. Both are BC based breweries located in Surrey and Vancouver respectively.

Since to
day was an “Odd” numbered Day we knew that it was going to feature a new bottle of brew from 49th Parallel Brewing Company.

Today’s newly introduced Beer was called Jerkface 9000. Somewhere on the labels of each new or beloved Brew is a short and usually incredibly witty description. Jerkface 9000 had the following for it’s description.

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Screw this. Seriously…Reindeer? Decorations? What are you, 12? All I want for Christmas is a bottle of this hopped American wheat goin’ down your fruitcake-hole. That way I don’t have to hear you sing any more of those awful carols.”

Which I ironically sung in my video of me opening the calendars!

Next up I opened up my Clinique: 12  Days of Clinique Beauty advent calendar and saw that the quote beside Day 3 was “The Gift with Lift” and that I got Clinique Repairwear Uplifting Firming Cream!

Lastly I scratched my Holiday Countdown  24 Day Scratch & Win which I purchased from a ticket stand for BCLC. I got a deer with $30 marked under it. So far I don’t quite know if I’m winning or not because the ticket isn’t too clear. I just know I don’t have one of the 3 important symbols on the back of the ticket.

All in all another successful day of Advent Calendar opening.

Blogmas Day 2 – December 2nd 2015

On Wednesday December 2nd Osoyoos had the first snow fall of December! So I vlogged a bit about the snow [watch it here] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EL2uNLNOyU

Basically it was a chill day after attending an Appointment in the next town over. Afterwards I came home and spent the entire day & evening trying to catch up on my Blogs & Vlogs for Vlogmas first!

I also started the first of the December Christmas Decorating, which I tend to do piece meal so it’s not totally over whelming.

As for my Outfit of the day I wore my This is my ugly Christmas sweater by George from Walmart.

I also aternated between wearing my new poinsettia Headband from Claire’s and my classic Joe Fresh white cable knit hat.

Now for the fun part of the day the opening of the advent calendars for Day 2.

First of all I have to admit I went out and bought one of my beloved Childhood Christmas Memories in the form of a cheap 32 Day Frozen Chocolate Calendar advent countdown!

Now for the unveiling of the Advent Day 2 Christmas Countdown Haul. I opened my Purdy’s advent calendar and was surprised to find another Purdy’s Chocolate Carmel after having gotten the exact same chocolate for day one!

Next up I opened my Kinder Surprise 24 day girl themed Advent Calendar. Inside the calendar for day two I was delighted to find a scrumptious Kinder Mini Egg!

Afterwards I opened my Lindt Golden Teddy bear advent calendar where I was extremely lucky to have found a Lindt Milk Napolitans [similar chocolate found here]

After that I opened day two on my Disney Frozen 32 Days of Chocolate advent calendar where I was happy to find a Chocolate shaped like Princess Anna.

I was delighted to learn the chocolate advent calendar tasted just like the ones from when I was a kid. SO IN OTHER WORDS IT WAS DELICIOUS!

next came time to open my GABZ Collection advent calendar with charms and bracelet.

I was once again surprised to find another a charm in lieu of getting the bracelet! Click here for their site

 

Next up it was time to open Day 2 on the Craft Crossing Calendar which is a 24 day collcetion of 12 beloved BC Brews & an introduction to 12 new Craft beers.

On even days we were told to expect the Beloved BC Brews to appear. Alas  I was happy to see my first Central City Brewers and Distillers Craft Beer.

This beer is called Red Racer & It’s an India Session Ale.

After the Beersmas 2015 Craft Crossing Calendar I turned to my 12 Days of Clinique Calendar to look at what was in store for day 2. Which read The after Party & was a 50mL Bottle of Take the Day off  Makeup Remover for Lids, lashes and LIps.

Lastly it came time to scratch my Holiday Countdown BCLC 24 Day Scratch & Win Lottery ticket!

I still don’t know how to tell yet if I’m winning or losing beyond being able to understand the brief Prize legend on the back!

Clinique 12 Days of Clinique 2015 Advent Calendar

This year I purchased 3 Beauty Advent calendars for myself, one of which is the Clinique 12 Days of Clinique Beauty Advent Calendar.

I fell in love with this Calendar upon first seeing it on the Clinique Beauty Counter at the Bay in Penticton. By a stroke of luck I  happened to be shopping on the day they were holding the Clinique Beauty Gala. Which changed my over all experience purchasing the Advent Calendar.

Since I was shopping just before the Gala was taking place I was offered the one day only exclusive deal where I was able to Purchase my Clinique 12 days of Clinique Advent Calendar for only $75.00 In comparison to having to purchase over $30.00 of products before you could buy the Calendar for the $75.00 on top of that.

That wasn’t my only bonus that day, I was given one of the Full size [think full sized shopping tote] special edition Clinique Gala Gift Bag. Which was large enough to fully fit my very sizable calendar.

I was spoiled even more when I was also given another Clinique Bonus of Travel Sized Makeup Bag which falls in the same colour scheme as the Tote and Calendar. In side my Bonus Makeup bag was 6 different items including 4 travel sized items to go with their counter Full size products inside the Advent calendar.  I decided to add the Lipstick & the eyeshadow Palette as bonus items to extend my twelve days of Clinque and make it 14 days instead!

 

Now for the Calendar itself. It is shaped liked a very big, very solid, and slightly heavy Purple and Pink box.

When you open it you realize it’s a trick box, and it has two compartments, with a shallow tray full of the first 6 days of clinique products fitting snugly over top of the deeper second box containing the last 6 items in the 12 days of Clinqiue. 

In case you haven’t noticed or can’t really tell these are VERY decently sized Products, ranging from Mid to full size! Also if you look even closer you can see that the items seemingly float upon the box and hover over the designated numbers of the 12 days of Clinique.

Now you will notice I’m not really giving much away about the actual products, despite the fact that you can clearly see all of them! YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT to watch my daily Vlogmas videos or read my weekly product hauls & reviews, or if you’re really patient come back to read my over all impression & review of the 12 days of Clinique – 2015 Clinique Holiday Advent calendar!
